The given pie charts depict the percentage of people travelling to a universoty by five categories transportation.
It is clear that, most the proportion of transport used for travelling to a university saw an upward trend. Furthermore, the car and bus were by far the most popular methods of transport over a five-year period.
In 2004, the percentage of car users was the highest, with more than 50% while the figure for bus was lower, just accounting for 33%. Aditionally, the proportion of people using bicycle quadrupled that of train, making up 9% and 3% respectively. Moreover, in a particular university, walking was more common than getting to school by train, slightly over 5%.
In the year 2009, there was a gradual increase in the percentage of how many people used bus to go to school, stand at 46%. By contrast, car declined significantly by 23%. On the other hand, the bicycle usage witnessed a remarkable climb, over 15%, and followed closely by train at 4% and walking at well over 5%.
