The pie charts compare what was the main method of transportation for people comuting to a university for work or study between 2004 and 2009. Overall, buses followed bicycles were the most popular vehicles that help people to travell to their intended places. Although the proportion of people who prefered cars bucked the trend in previous year, the reverse was true for that in 2009.
Focusing on the increases first, 46% of people who chose to travel by buses in 2009, up from 33% in 2004. The least popular a method of transportation in 2004- train- saw a 1-percentage change, rising to 4% by 2009. The percentage of people who walked was 4% in 2004, then it increased at 6% by 2009.Lastly, the change was more pronounced in the percentage of people choosing bicycles: it rose 9% in 2004 to 16% in 2009.
The remaining vehicle became outdated. Despite the fact that the percentage of people preferred to use cars was staggering which accounted for 51% in 2004, it fell into 28% in 2009.
