The four pie charts provided illustrate the electricity production sources in four different countries: India, Sweden, Morocco, and Vietnam, from 2003 to 2008. Overall, the production of fossil fuels was more widespread in India and Vietnam, whereas hydroelectric energy was dominant in Morocco and Sweden. In stark contrast, nuclear power was produced only in Sweden and India to various degrees.
Upon closer examination, fossil fuel energy in India accounted for 82%, making it the largest energy source in the country. The same pattern was true for Vietnam, where it constituted over half of all energy production at 56%. However, in Morocco and Sweden, fossil fuel was the lowest of all, with respective figures of 5% and 4%.
Regarding hydroelectric power, it comprised almost the entire energy production in Morocco at 95%. Similarly, in Sweden, it made up the largest segment at 52%. In Vietnam and India, it was below half at 44% and 14%, respectively.
As for nuclear power, unlike other energy alternatives, it was produced only in Sweden and India. In Sweden, it was the second-largest energy source at 44%. In India, it was responsible for only a small fraction of the total power at 4%.
