The bar chart compares the levels of airpollution, measured in PPM, caused by electicity generation, transport and industry in four countries in 2021.
Overall, China recordes highest population level across all the three sectors, while Australia has the lowest. Industry was the most significant for the polution in all counties except America, where transport pollution was much higher.
In China, pollution from electricity generation (around 59 PPM), transport (70 PPM), and industry (80 PPM) was considerably higher than in the other countries. America followed, with transport emissions (58 PPM) being its largest source, whereas electricity generation and industry produced similar but much lower levels, at roughly 31 and 29 PPM respectively.
In Japan, pollution was noticeably lower than China and America. Industrial activity was the biggest contributer at about 43 PPM, followed by transport (30 PPM), while electricity generation produced only 16 PPM. Australia reported the lowest pollution levels across all categories, with each source contributing nearly the same amount, around 18 to 19 PPM.
In summary, China was the most polluted country due to high emissions from all sectors, while Australia remained the cleanest, with minimal variation between causes.
