Overall, it is a cyclic process which involves 9 different stages, from collecting and sorting of plastic bottles to recycling them into final products.
A step towards recycling initiates when people dispose used bottles in recycle bin rather than mixing them with other trash. The bottles are than collected from the bin and sent to the recycling centre, where they are further processed in to a final product.
At the recycling centre, first the bottles are sorted. In the next step, the sorted bottles are compressed into large blocks which are further crushed into finer particles. After washing the smaller pieces, they are passed through a machine to produce plastic pellets. These pellets are further heated to form raw material.
The raw materials are then used in production of bottles, containers pencils, bags etc.. These products are used by consumers and further end up in recycling bin, making it a cyclic process. score
