The illustrations depict the production and recycling of glass containers.
The three-step glass production begins with combining of different substances and ends with shaping the molten glass to create glass containers. The recycling consists of five stages, starting with collection of used glass and ending with moulding the mixture into novel products.
First step of glass production is mixing of sand, soda ash, limestone and other chemicals together to create a mixture. Subsequently, the mixture is heated to 1500 degrees Celcius in a glass oven to create molten glass. Finally, the molten glass is blown to form glass containers.
Recycing of the used glas begins with collection of used bottles. Then, bottles are sorted by their colours. After that, they are washed to remove all the impurities. In the next step, washed glass bottles are crushed and melted. At the end, the melted glass is molded to create new glass goods.
