The maps provide information about the floor plan of the central library 20 years in the past and its current situation today.
Overall, during the years some areas has been added or modified, such as a space for storytelling events and some furniture in the left side of the building, as well as a sector destinated for children’s lectures. Were also added some places in the right side, such as an information desk and several self-service machines.
According to the data, the right side got bigger, it was built a place when people can find children fictions books, behind this area, now there is a sector for events. Finally in their surroundings there are some cozy spaces with sofas. Moreover, in the right side now we can see that exist an information desk in front of the adult non/fiction books sector, and pretty close to it some machines with self-services.
Furthermore, the adult fiction books section was replaced by a sector with all reference books now. The children-s book sector in the right side was also replaced by a lecture room, and in front of it when was the enquiry desk, now we can find a café area. The reading room changed for a computer room as well. Lastly, the tables and chairs in the center were removed.
