The diagram illustrates the different steps involved in the process of recycling aluminum drinks cans.
Overall, the recycling process includes a total 11 stages, from the delivery of used aluminum cans to the production of new recycled cans, taking a total of 6 weeks from start to finish.
The recycle production starts with the collecting waste, including used cans and transport it to the factory for the deposition. Next, the aluminum cans are washed with water before it is crushed into many smaller pieces at the next stage. After the crushing step, process continues in the factory, including the chemicals usage to erase cans.
The combination of used cans and chemicals then are shaped in a mould, after are heated. After that, moulded cans are checked to guarantee all mould can have the same weight. Finally, after passing through a rolling machine, new cans are produced ready for use again.
