The diagrams indicate the transformation of a common area for students.
Overall, throughout the given period, there have been significant rearrangements and new amenities to provide pupils with more facilities and convenience.
To begin with, the common room 5 years ago had a much simpler structure compared to its current version. In particular, there were only four big round tables, each of which could only hold 6 people. Regarding the kitchen area, only basic amenities like a sink, a cupboard, two benches, a microwave, and a refrigerator are provided. Notably, there was a small bookshelf in the down-right corner of the room.
On the other hand, the room has now been equipped with more facilities that can conveniently serve students. Instead of having four identical round tables like 5 years ago, not only does the current room have two round tables, but it also has a new rectangular table that can host up to 10 people. In the kitchen area, a new microwave, which replaced a bench, and a drinks machine have been added, making it more convenient and faster for pupils who want to prepare quick meals. Remarkably, the bookshelf area has now been replaced by a TV and three armchairs. Individuals can either sit on these armchairs to entertain themselves by watching TV or read books to relax. Lastly, a new bench is placed on the left side of the entertaining area for laptop users, enabling people to sit and work with their devices.
