The pictures depict the stages involved in canning apples for commercial sale.
Overall, there are fourteen stages in the process, commencing with plucking apples by hand and ending with distributing apple cans to shops and supermarkets. It is a linear, man-made process.
The first stage of the process is when apples are picked in the orchards by hand. They are then loaded onto a truck, which delivers them to the cannery. At the cannery, the apples are washed with clean water to eliminate dirt and bacteria. Following this, the quality of the apples is checked so that the poor quality ones can be discarded. On the next occasion, the selected apples are stored at a low temperature until they are needed. Having been weighed and graded, apples of the same size and weight are peeled and cut into even slices.
Regarding the packaging stages, pieces of apples are placed in bottles, together with sugar, juice, and food preservatives. The step after this is sealing the bottles to ensure that bacteria cannot enter the bottles. The sealed bottles are then cooked and sterilized at an optimal temperature. After they have been cooled down, a label is attached to each bottle. Sequentially, the bottles are kept in the storage before they are finally distributed to shops and supermarkets, where consumers can buy and enjoy them.
