The maps illustrate the transformation of a school library’s settings.
Overall, the library underwent a number of dramatic changes, the most of which is the appearance of new facilities on the left and the centre of the library.
On the left side of the library was a classroom, a meeting room and a desk allowing students to borrow and return books. 5 years later, the classroom has been converted to a recording studio while the borrowing and returning desk has been divided into 2 rooms with separate functions. The meeting room located between the desk and the studio has been decreased in size.
The bookshelves at the top centre of the map have stayed the same, while those at the bottom have been replaced by desks for students’ laptops. The studying tables at the centre of the library have been renovated, becoming private studying tables, ensuring students’ privacy. There used to be a library office in the southeast corner of the library, but it then was turned into a conference room. To the north of the conference room, there are desks for students’ laptops, replacing desks for computers.
