The illustration of the map shows the evolution of a small fishing village and its environment in 1974 that turns into a tourist resort in Europe in 2004.

Firstly, we can acknowledge the main area that used to be only a village also have been developed, and turned into a tourist shop as well. However, I believe the original village is still there as we can see it is moved to another area side by side with the home of locals and the beach. Not far from that area, there is a farmland that used to be a garden of olives has been replaced by a farm that harvest fruit and vegetables for the hotels.

Additionally, the extensive woodland area has been demolished then get replaced by hotels and golf course, making it a tourist attraction for those who stay there to enjoy other activities rather than only going to the beach. Furthermore, the development of the fishing village is shown by the establishment of the road. Before, there was only a land, but after some construction, there is finally a road which is accessible for the tourists and also the locals.

In conclusion, the evolution of the small fishing village that turn into a tourist resort in Europe is consider good, as long as they are still preserve the people and the nature inside of it. In fact, it is a good opportunity to raise the local economy by modernizing the village’s condition and turn it into tourist attraction.
