The provided maps illustrate the way in which a biomedical campus of a university will change, showing how the area will be redeveloped for purposes of the study.
At first glance, it is readily apparent that while certain original features will remain largely intact, several others, such as trees, will be completely replaced. In the given plan, the place will undergo substantial modernization, with notable developments in infrastructure and facilities.
The car park in the northeast corner of the campus will remain virtually unchanged, and so will the first lab opposite to it in the southeastern area in three separated areas of the campus. A wide range of trees next to the car park in the northern area will be cleared and subsequently redeveloped into a bio-imaging section at the end of the walkway and a genetics 1 section adjacent to the southern road, surrounding the only two trees left. There will be an introduction of a new staff car park in the southwest corner.
According to the plan, several major alterations will take place, the most prominent of which will be the transformation of the southwestern zone, including the movement if the second lab opposite the new genetics 1 and the biochemistry will be changed from the triangle shape into the letter V shape. The road will be expanded with a new branch which will separate the biochemistry and the parking lot for staffs. The genetics section’s name will be changed into genetics 2 and there will be a expansion of this section which is next to the lab. The biotech opposite the first lab and genetics 2 will be added with one block. The walkway will be expanded in width for commuting purpose.
