Overall, most people who visited the cinema theater were aged 50 years and above. Among male and female visitors, male cinema-goers were either equal or more compared to female cinema-goers, except those who were over 50 years of age.
The percentage of males and females who go to the cinema, from 14 to 17 years of age, was 7% each. Whereas, for people between 18 and 34 years of age, men visit the cinema more than women visit; the difference between them was less than 5%.
For those aged 35 to 49 years, the average number of visits per year for both men and women was 25%. Notably, in the 50+ age profile, the count of female visits was 4% more than the count of males, which accounted for 29% in the year 2012.
