The presented two pie charts illustrate Americans’ expenditures across seven different sectors during three decades commencing from 1966.
Overall, at the beginning of the period food was the largest expenditure while computers recorded lowest one. In contrast, cars were the dominant sector and books had become the least accounted expenditure at the end of the period.
As can be seen, it is evident that cars and the habit of eating out are allocated 23% and 7% respectively at the initial stage. Although, they have been doubled in 1996. Digital tools contributed 1% in 1966, but it has been rose significantly by tenfold lastly.
The majority of people spent sector was food, that 44 percentage has decreased to 14% at the end. The fuel consumption was recorded 9% in the first figure, then it went down by 1% in second figure. The wooden material industry, and stationaries earned 10% and 6% of expenses respectively in 1966, wherever declined to 8% and 1% respectively in last year. In conclusion, the recent details show more allocations on vehicles, food and restaurant sectors rather than stationaries and fuel.
