The graphs show the average daily temperatures and the average number of rainy days each month in Brisbane and Canberra.
Brisbane had higher temperatures than Canberra with a temperature range that changed more noticeably, especially around the middle years of the period. While the difference between the maximum & the minimum daily temperature of Brisbane varied significantly, especially from January to May, Canberra’s temperature’s range almost stayed the same throughout the period. When it comes to rainfall, Brisbane had fewer rainy days in the middle period before rising slightly in the final months. Meanwhile, Canberra’s rainfall pattern was more stable except for a sharp increase in the middle months.
Regarding the first chart, It gradually went down, reaching the lowest point in July, but there were small rises in February and May before it kept dropping. The maximum temperatures in both Brisbane and Canberra rose moderately in February, ending up 30°C and roughly 27°C, respectively. By July, Brisbane’s temperature decreased to about 21°C, whereas Canberra’s dropped sharply to nearly 10°C. Subsequently, in December, Brisbane’s maximum temperature moderately increased again to approximately 30°C, while Canberra’s gradually climbed back to about 26°C. Meanwhile, the minimum temperatures in both cities gradually went up at a considerable pace. Brisbane’s minimum temperature started at 21°C in January, fell to around 10°C in July, and then returned to 20°C by December. While, the minimum temperature in Canberra began at 13°C, dropped to nearly 0°C in July, and increased steadily to about 12°C by December.
In the bar chart, the number of rainy days in Brisbane increased slightly from January to March, which was 14 days. In Canberra, the amount of rainfall days from January to February was 7 days, increasing to 8 days in March. From April to June, Brisbane was significantly reduced from 12 rainy days to 7 rainy days, the rainfall days had decreased by about 5 days, whereas Canberra’s experienced a stable pattern of rainfall, with about 7 rainy days each month from April to May and soared remarkably by over 3 rainy days in June. The number of days with rainfall between July and September in Brisbane remained stable, with about 7 days of rain each month and there was no noticeable change during that period. While, the rainy days in Canberra peaked at 10 days between July and August – the highest of the year, then dropped to 8 days in September. After September, the number of rainy days in Brisbane gradually went up, starting from October and ending the year with about 12 rainy days in December. At the same time, Canberra witnessed a sudden rise in rainy days in October, climbing to 10 days, but then fell quickly to 7 days over the last 2 months.
