The given illustration consists of one line graph and one table chart, of which the line graph shows water use worldwide by three sectors, while the table compares amount of consuming water in two different countries.
Overall, agriculture was the main sector that used the largest amount of water in the graph. The table shows that Brazil consumed much more water than the other country.
Looking at first the line graph, agriculture started at about 500 km^3 and gradually increased. In 2000, it peaked at 3,000 km^3. Industrial water use was almost equal to domestic water use at first, almost zero; then it increased steadily. Finally, industrial water use increased to over 1,100 km^3, while domestic water use was about 450 km^3.
Moving on to the table chart, the Brazilian population was much higher than the population in Congo, with 176 million compared to 5.2 million. The irrigated land in Brazil was 26,500 km^2; meanwhile, that in Congo was 100 km^2. Consequently, the proportion of water consumption per individual was bigger in Brazil at 359 m^2, but the figure for the other country was only 8 m^2.
