Information about the number of students studying English, TESL, and Arabic at IIUM’s Kulliyyah of Human Science from 2008 to 2011 is shown in the column chart.
The number of student who studied English remains as the highest through the given timeline except in the third year, which the number of student at the department of Arabic experienced a spike after being the lowest for the first two years. Meanwhile, TESL students was dropping down continuously by the time.
To begin with, the highest number of English students was in 2008 at just below 250. It was consistently decreasing to slightly below 150 in 2010 and went up to around 220 at the end of the period. As the second highest in the first year, the number of student who studied at TESL department was declining steadily from 140 to almost zero at the and of the timeline.
For the Arabic students, despite of it being the smallest number in the first two years as it gained 75 at 2008 and reached its lowest at below 50 in 2009, it rocketed to the topmost number at 250 in 2010. However, it then dropped to less than 100 in 2011.
