The presented line graph gives an overview of percentage of people residing in four different Asian cities and it also contains the predictions of the percentage of population for next two decades.
Overall, percentage population of all the cities is growing but Malaysia has comparatively higher growth rate than other three cities and it is observed that Philippines has least percentage population growth rate.
Initially, Malaysia and Philippines had almost same percentage population in the year 1970 which is approximately 30%. Further, in 1980, percentage population of Malaysia increased to almost 40% and Philippines had almost negligible growth, but, in 1990, Philippines’ percentage population became slightly higher than Malaysia. But from 1990 till 2020, Malaysia had highest percentage population of approximately 72% and it is also predicted that, in upcoming two decades, its growth will be consistent and in 2040, it will be around 80%.
On the other hand, Indonesia and Thailand had their percentage population below 20% and Thailand had the percentage difference significantly higher than Indonesia which appears to be around 3% – 4%. Till 2000, both cities had equal growth rate but from 2000 to 2020, Indonesia crossed Thailand and Philippines and reached 2nd position in percentage population among the four cities.
