The bar chart presents data about the predictable transactions of four different types of books: “Young Adult”, “Classics”, “Mystery”, and “Romance” from 2025 to 2029.
Overall, it is evident that the expected quantity of these kinds of novels continuously changes throughout the period; readers tend to purchase books about Romance more than Classics, Mystery ranks at second place about sales, Young Adult remain stable whereas others fluctuates.
Starting with Romance, considered the best-selling during the four years mentioned, more than 80,000 sold in 2025, and it rockets to the highest sales in the entire bar chart at 110,000 in the following year. While in 2027, Romance suddenly plummets to almost 70,000, thereafter recovering to 77,000 and about 90,000 in 2028 and 2029, respectively.
Mystery is also expected to sell well, proven in 2025 when it starts at 60,000 and increases to 80,000; despite dropping to 45,000 in 2027, it reaches a plateau at 48,000 and over 52,000 in 2028 and 2029, respectively.
Moving on to the last two types of books, in 2025, Young Adult and Classics start at 30,000 and approximate to 20,000, respectively; in the next year, Classics grows to 30,000 while Young Adult maintain the same level at 30,000. Although Young Adult drops to the same quantity of 20,000 in both 2027 and 2028, it then returns to 30,000 in 2029. Additionally, Classics experiences a downward trend; despite peaking at nearly 40,000 in 2027, it starts declining noticeably to 29,000 in 2028 and 9,000 in 2029.
