The given bar chart illustrates that the recycling proportion of sorts of trash from 2000 to 2010. There are three bars in every waste that each bar represent 2000,2005 and 2010.

Upon first inspiration, the situation of paper and metal seems to be quite similar to success in recycling. In both paper and metal, there is a steadily rising trend from 2000 to 2010. The proportion increased from one-tenth to just under one-fifth and just over a qurater between 2000 and 2005 respectively. In th next five years, both materials also increased around one-tenth subsequently.

With closer examination, the cans differ significantly. The process of the waste recycled of cans faced some barriers. It dropped to just under ten percent in 2005. However, It surged sharply three-fold to just under thirty percent in 2010, the performance is showing well like paper and metal.Moreover,the plastic recycling were still catching up in 2010.
