The bar chart compares the amount of tea and coffee imported by four countries – Canada, the UK, the USA, and Germany – in 2007, with figures measured in tonnes.
Overall, the UK imported significantly more tea than any other country, while Canada recorded the highest coffee imports. It is also clear that tea imports were greater than coffee imports in the UK and the USA, whereas the reverse was true for Canada and Germany.
In detail, Germany imports twice as much tea as Canada, with the respective figures at 40,000 tonnes and 20,000 tonnes. The USA followed with approximately 120,000 tonnes, while the UK reached around 160,000 tonnes, which was by far the largest figure.
In terms of coffee imports, Canada’s imports stood at about 80,000 tonnes, making it the leading coffee importer. Germany imported just under 50,000 tonnes, while the USA and the UK had lower coffee imports, at roughly 40,000 tonnes and 20,000 tonnes respectively.
