The line chart illustrates the import volume of tea and coffee by four different nations, namely Canada, the US, the UK, and Germany.
Overall, the UK is the largest tea importer, whereas Germany leads the coffee imports. Also, a clear reference for coffee imports among three countries is notable, leaving aside the UK which is a tea-heavy market.
Looking first at the UK, it stands out with 80000 tons of tea imported, far exceeding the other nations. Conversely, only 30000 tons of coffee – the lowest amount of coffee – is imported to the UK, leaving the largest gap of 50000 tons between tea and coffee imports.
In contrast, Germany boasts the most substantial quantity of coffee import, standing at 50000 tons, which is followed closely by imported tea’s 40000 tons. This 10000-ton difference is the smallest disparity between coffee and tea imports in these surveyed countries. In general, Germany has a more balanced import profile than that of the UK.
Finally, Canada and the US exhibit identical patterns, importing approximately 40000 tons of coffee apiece, which is double the volume of their tea imports at 20000 tons. However, although the figures of the two are comparable, the US edges out Canada in both categories.
