Chicken consumption grew constantly during the period given, starting the period with less than 150 grams per person per week, surpassing the beef consumption which was the highest before 1989, when chicken overcame the 200 grams per person per week. After this, it kept growing reaching the 250 grams until it plateaued in 2004. In contrast, the beef consumption had a severe decline over the years, it started the period as the main consumed food, reaching 250 grams per person per week in the previous time before 1984, but with the passage of time, it showed a great decline which bottomed with 100 grams previous to 2004
lamb consumption had also a decline within the years. In 1979, it reached its peak, with 150 grams, but the following years, it showed a constant decline, showing its lowest after 1999, when the amount was of around 60 grams, after that peak, it had always shown a contant steadiness within the years, it kept plateaued in around 50 grams per person per week.
