The line graph illustrates the intake of some kinds of meet and fish in a certain country in Europe during 1979 and 2004.
Overall, it is readily apparent that chicken and beef were the most popular meet, even though the indicators represent rapid fluctuations. Additionally, while lamb was slowly decreasing by the end of the period, consumption of fish was relatively stable.
In 1979, the intake of beef was the highest at about 210 grams per person per week, however, showing a huge swings approximately until 1989. Afterwards, the level of consumption of this meet started to decline with subsequent oscillations, reaching the lowest point at above 100 grams. In comparison, indicators of chicken were lower at the beginning, just below 150 grams, but during all the period of time it was showing a stable upward trend, reaching the peak at 250 grams.
Almost similarly to chicken, lamb started at 150 grams, however, representing a swift drop to about 120 grams. Subsequently, the indicator attempted to improve, but in 1990 it started to fall with some fluctuations, reaching approximately 55 grams by 2004. In contrast to the previous categories, fish was the lowest and the most stable all the time, slightly declining by the end, and reaching 40 grams.
