The given graph illustrates the comparison of an amount of international visitors, in millions, travelling in different parts of the world, covering Asia, Europe and America, between year of 2000 and 2020. Overall, the number of tourists in these regions starting from the year of 2000 tends to rise more rapidly in Asia and American than Europe setting off from 400 millions in Asia, over 65 millions in Europe and over 150 millions in America.
In the beginning of collecting the data It is clearly shown, that tourists were mostly travelling in Asian region starting with nearly 400 million visitors and slightly rising up till the year of 2020 with a peak of 650 millions, when deathly pandemic known as covid-19, hit the world and significantly paused affected tourism. The same tendencies can be observed with the number of visitors in the region of Europe accumulating the maximum amount of travellers in the year of 2014 and then slowly decreasing by 2020.
Despite these trends with mentioned parts of the world, different pattern is observed with the region of America, where general trend is fastly increasing number of tourists by each year peaking after 2020 without visible drop of visitors. We have seen some similarities between the regions of America and Asia in constantly increasing numbers and some deviations and irruptions in international tourism in the region of Europe.
