The graph illustrates the number of tourists, measured in thousands, who traveled three different places in a European country over a 20-year period. Overall, it is evident that all places experienced a marked increase in the count of those visiting their attractions throughout the whole time frame.
To begin, the figure for the tourists in coast traveling started at 40 per thousand in 1987, which far exceeded that of the other places. It then increased dramatically, reaching the peak of approximately 70 per thousand at the end of period, and finishing as the highest. The count of visitors in the mountains showed an upward trend, started the period at 20 per thousand, and finishing at just above 30 in 2007.
Interestingly, the lake traveling experienced a dramatic rose between 1987 and 2002, starting at 10 per thousand, and finishing at around 70, exceeding that of the other places. The general trend though for the lakes was an increase, then it reduced over next 5 years, finishing at 50 per thousand as the second highest.
