The line chart provides data on number of female and male university graduates over the period from 1992 to 2007 in Canada.
Overall, both female and male graduates experienced positive growth throughout the observed years, and the graduates were dominated by females in all years.
In the beginning year of observation, the number of female graduates was around 80,000. The figures showed steady growth until 2004, where it reached around 100,000 graduates, before it increased sharply in the next three years. In the final year, the number rose almost by 150% from the initial figure, hitting a little over 150 thousand graduates.
The number of males graduate started at just a little under 60,000 in 1992. The trend showed similar pattern as the female graduates’, where it grew slowly to roughly 65,000 in 2004 and then rose sharply to just under 100 thousand in 2007, although the figures remained lower than those of females throughout the period.
