The chart provides information about the proportion of older people in urban areas and countrysides who participated in different kinds of leisure activities from 1990 to 2010.
Overall, reading and playing were the most interesting progams with a lot of participants in both places, while photography and animated play had the lowest rates over the period.
Looking at the table in more detail, it is clear that in cities, reading had the largest rate from 1990 to 2010, with increasing significantly from 61% to 78%. Besides, there were 10% in the data on animated play, the it had an unchange rate over a 20-year the period, compared to this figure of playing witnessed 21% which ranked the second of the table in 1990 before declining dramatically to 14% in 2010. Additionally, the remaining was a sharp growth from 7% to 17% after 20 years.
During the countrysides, reading also took up for the first rank with 71% in 1990, then it increased slightly to 78% in 2010. Moreover, the proportion of older people joined in animated play and playing had 18% and 26%, followed by a remarkable reduction to 14% and still unchanged rate with 26% respectively over 20 years. There was a broad rise in data on photography from 14% in 1990 to 24% in the end of the period.
