The graph gives information about the proportion of individual who accessed news in the USA into five categories-website, TV, print, and the social media from 2012 to 2015. Overall, the percentage of people entered news in print rose in the first part of the given period but declined after 2013. The figure for social media recorded a gradual increase. Moreover, the news in accessed in TV went down slightly, but the reverse was true for website news.
Looking on the increases first, the percentage of people accessed news in social media started at 20% in 2012, and then it continued its upward trend, reaching 32% in 2014 and 41% in 2015. There was a minimal rise in the website news from 78% to 81% between 2012 and 2014; however, this was followed by a negligible decline to 80% in 2015.
By contrast, the proportion of people retrieved new in TV and print bucked the trend. Despite increasing sharply from 38% to 48% in 2013, the news which in print dropped to just under 25% in 2015. Meanwhile, there was a slight rise in TV news from people who entered between 76% and 78% in 2013, after which it dropped to 74% in 2015.
