The figure rose to 23% in the final year. Taking buses for day tour became more common, with 7% of people using the bus for this purpose in the first year and rising to 12% in the final year. Notably, British people used buses the least to study in the first year (only 4%). Although the number increased to 9% in 2011, it was the second lowest figure in 2011.
