In 1980, a new trend of vegetable imports emerged, with changes in vegetables such as spinach, broccoli, garlic, peas, and ginger. Not until the 2000s did imports change significantly.
However, between 2000 and 2020, there was a dramatic change in all vegetables except peas. Garlic imports started at 300 tonnes, then increased to 360 tonnes, and reached a peak at 400 tonnes in 2020. As for broccoli, it ended at 300 tonnes, with a few changes between the years. Meanwhile, ginger escalated to 260 tonnes in 2020, after which it increased gradually, reaching 300 tonnes in 2000. Despite the same result in pea weight between 1980 and 2000, it finally rose a bit, from 150 tonnes to 170 tonnes in 2020. The last sort, spinach, decreased steadily, from 500 tonnes to 450 tonnes between 1980 and 2000, and ended at 350 tonnes in 2020.
