From this year to 1994, the various routes experienced a little rise over the years. However, the popularity of train transport decreased a number of times. In 1985, it dipped to about 30, leaped a bit and fell further down to about 25 in 1994. In this same year, the road transport equally recorded a marginal decrease compared to the preceding 4 years.
Moving on from 1995, there was a slight increase across all the transport routes with the exception of water which fell below 60 in 1998. Although, it rose again, finishing the period at over 60. Similarly, pipeline witnessed a plateau over the last 8 years and ended at above 20. In the same vein, items transported by land increased just below 100 and remained the most adopted means of transportation. On the other hand, the rail system ended at the same level where it started.
