The line graph illustrates the amount of railway tracks’ using measured in thousands of kilometres in four countries namely China, The USA, Russia, India over a 30 years period from 1980 to 2010.
Overall, different trends were observed. It is clear that the USA dominated by the highest use of railway tracks, while the lowest figure true for the tracks in India.
Regarding the details, the USA experienced the highest use of railway tracks with 250,000 km in 1980, although it decreased slightly to approximately 230.000 km in 2010 it was still dominant by other countries. Meanwhile the length of railway tracks in Russia was 150,000 km, before experienced the decline to around 130,000 in 2010.
Turning to lower countries, China and India accounted for the lower trajectories. Initially, China was in the lowest point around 20,000 km, but it soared dramatically to nearly 90,000 km in the end. The length of railway tracks was around 30.000 in India by the year of 1980. Despite went up significantly to approximately 70,000 in 2010, it couldn’t got over than China.
