Overall, the maximum men spend over 46 hours at work while the maximum women spend 6-12 hours at work in both the private and the public sectors. Furthermore, while the figures for women are nearly the same for both sectors, there is a noticeable difference in the case of men.

The proportion of men who spend 46 or more hours is significantly higher than women. A third of men, and only a minority (4%) women work in both the sectors. By contrast, 35% women and around 20% men work 6-12 hours in the two sectors.

The figures for 13-30 and 31-45 hours is higher for women in the public sector while it is nearly the same for the two genders in the private sector. 15% and 9% men work for these hours in public sector respectively while the figures for women are around 20%. One fifth of men and women worked these hours in the private sector. Finally, around 20% of men and women worked 1-2 hours except in the case of men in the private sector, with figures of only 5%.
