Overall, all categories showed a rapid upward trend. The percentage of people who used the Internet in Canada recorded the highest figure, while the proportion of internet users in Mexico remained the lowest.

Between 1999 and 2001, the percentage of people using the Internet in the USA started at the highest of 30% of the graph, increasing steadily during the first period of the timeframe. This figure for internet users was slightly higher than that of Canada, which reached a level of 20% at the same time. Moreover, the proportion of Mexico’s internet usages was at the lowest level. From 2003 to 2009, the percentage of people who used the Internet in Canada escalated significantly, overtaking that of the USA to reach the highest of the line graph. Like between 1999 and 2001, the proportion of people using the Internet in Mexico increased slightly, unchanging at the lowest point at the same time.

In 2002, the proportion of internet users in the USA and Canada both peaked at over 40% of the graph.
