The chart illustrates the overall sales performance on Saturdays for two bakeshops, Lovely Loaves and Bernie’s Buns, in 2010. The graph depict average sales of eight items, such as sandwiches, rolls and cakes.
Overall, Bernie’s Buns had significantly higher sales across most categories. Despite this, Lovely Loaves still had some success, and in certain, the total amount of items sold was higher than Bernie’s Buns. Above all, it can be viewed, that savoury food are not so popular as sweet products.
Burnie’s Buns’ sales had a record number of doughnut sold. Doughnut sales reached just under 140. However, compared to salads, which fell to around 20 number. The second and third best-selling items was cookies and cakes , that received nearly 120 and 100. Bernie’s Buns had two positions with roughly same numbers. These are crisps and rolls, which fluctuated between 80 and 60.
By contrast, the most popular dish in Lovely Loaves was also doughnuts with approximately 120 sales. The number of toasted sandwiches in Lovey Loaves was almost the same as Berine’s Buns ones, both were just above 20 items. Following this, Lovely Loaves did not sell as many salads as Bernie’s Buns, with 19 and 62 items, respectively. The least popular item in Lovely Loaves is toasted sandwiches, with around 25 sales.
