The trend chart compares how much money four different restaurants in Cambridge made in 2016.
Overall, all restaurants in question saw their income grow over the period of 12 months, with the exception of Spicy Fortune, whose revenue plummeted. The revenue of this restaurant, in particular, did not only decrease substantially, but it also ranked lowest in the end despite topping the chart initially. Evening Paradise, on the other hand, went from being a moderately successful restaurant to ranking highest in the final month.
In detail, the income of Spicy Fortune was highest in January, at $160,000, and despite a drop to $120,000 a month later, it soared to its all-time high of $170,000 in early Spring. However, this figure had gone down gradually by $50,000 by September, followed by a mild recovery to $140,000 the next month. In the final quarter of the year, the restaurant’s revenue went into free fall, hitting its all-time low of $50,000. The figure for Evening Paradise, on the other hand, was $50,000 at the beginning of the year, which had doubled by July. Although its income dipped to $60,000 in September, it surged to a chart high of nearly $200,000 in December, marking a quadruple revenue boost.
The other two restaurants also witnessed modest increases in their income. Standing at $100,000 in January, the figure for Grand Fiesta fell by 20% to $80,000 in March, at which point it stagnated until July. Following that, the restaurant’s sales started increasing marginally, ultimately reaching a high of around $140,000 in December. Similarly, profits made by Delicacy initially fluctuated between $20,000 and $40,000 until July, followed by a rise of $20,000 in November. The most remarkable change took place in December, when its income doubled, peaking at $120,000.
