The line graph illustrates the number of people from other countries who visited three different areas (the coast, the mountains, and the lakes) of a country located in Europe from 1987 and 2007.
Overall, the number of overseas visitors to all three parts of the country increased over the period given. Furthermore, the coast was the most popular area for visitors during all years in the period given except between 1999 and 2004, which the lakes was the most visited place.
With regard to the coast, the figure began at 40 thousand visitors and dropped to a low of around 35 thousand in 1992 before rising dramatically to about 75 thousand in the last year. Likewise, the lakes started at 10 thousand in the first year after which it reached a high of approximately 75 thousand in 2002, afterwards it fell significantly to 50 thousand in 2007.
On the other hand, the number of visitors to the mountains was double that of those who visited the lakes in 1987, however, the mountains became the least popular area for visitors since 1992. The figure experienced a period of stability between 1997 and 2002, and it grew to about 35 thousand in the last year.
