The line graph illustrates the number of people who participated in 4 different sports in one specific region from 1985 to 2005. Overall, tennis followed a gradual increase, while rugby experienced the reverse. Badminton and basketball had a similar pattern; both remained almost stable.
In 1985, rugby was the most popular sport, with around 250 people playing it. The number of people playing tennis was twice as low as rugby, accounting for 150. The fewest people were engaged in badminton and basketball, comprising less than 100. Afterwards, from 1990, the number of people playing rugby started significantly dropping. On the contrary, numbers in tennis were gradually increasing. Numbers for badminton and basketball slightly decreased in 1990, but then returned to their initial position.
By 2005, rugby had a substantial drop, and numbers were the same as for badminton. Both badminton and rugby were the least played, constituting only 50. Furthermore, tennis numbers steadily increased and reached their highest point, comprising about 220. The second sport people most took part in was basketball, which numbers remained the same as in 1985.
