The bar chart compares the proportion differences in the number of overseas graduated students in 8 provinces in Canada over two separate years: 2001 and 2006
Overall, most of the areas’ rates shared a similar pattern of significant growth compared to the percentage in 2001, except for Alberta province. In the meantime, British Columbia experienced the most considerable speed of increase through the period.
A more detailed look at the graph reveals that the ratio of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Quebec continued to hold the top three places in 2006, after having dramatically gone up about one-third times higher than before. In addition, the data of international students graduating in British Columbia witnessed the widest fluctuation when rising from 5% to just over 10%, which was two times larger in comparison to 2001.
At the same time, the rates in Manitoba, Newfoundland, and Labrador, and Ontario contributed the same figure of increasing twice higher, which took account of from just over 3% to 6%-7%. Conversely, Alberta followed an utterly different trend from others. This location’s rate dwindled by 1% after 5 years, which also made the province of having the lowest percentage of international graduates.
