The bar chart presented illustrates the change in the share of international tertiary education graduates in various Canadian provinces between 2001 and 2006.
Overall, it is noticeable that the percentage of international students who graduated rose in all provinces from 2001 to 2006, and that New Brunswick recorded the highest proportion of foreign-nationality graduates in both years.
In 2001, the included provinces had similar proportions of international graduates, but while the percentage in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Quebec reached 6% or more, the figure for other territories stood below 5%, with Ontario having the lowest share of just over 3%.
Looking at the year 2006, the data shows a distinguishable increase in all the places mentioned, where the lowest-recording provinces saw their proportion almost doubled to around 6% in five years, and British Columbia experienced the most dramatic surge of more than 5%. The exception of this is Quebec which had only a marginal increase of around 2% between the two observed years.
