The data presents the participation rate of club members in three different spheres in a UK sports club from 1995 to 2015. Overall, the rate of swimming club members experienced a decreasing trend, while the reverse was true for gym activities participants. The amount of members in team sports remained unchanged, though with a few increases. The most pronounce change was seen in the swimming activity.
Among the three activities, swimming had the highest rate of members in 1995, at 50%. However, it experienced a slight decrease to approximately 42% by 2000. The rate of members in this activity continued to fall and decreased to 15% by 2010. The amount of participants remained stable in the last five years.
Gym activities had the smallest number of members in 1995, at about 5% and ranked last. By 2000, the rate rose to just under 10% and experienced a gradual increase to about 25% by 2010. During the last five years, similarly, the participation rate in this activity remained unchanged.
At the beginning, team sports ranked second, at around 32% and showed no change in the first five years. Then, the rate of members in this activity rose to 40% by 2010. Nevertheless, it experienced a decrease and fell back to its original rate in the end.
