The diagram reveals the usage of household energy and greenhouse gas produced in Australia. Overall, the highest amount of household energy was allocated to water heating and heating and cooling. On the other hand, the highest percentage of greenhouse gas was produced by heating and cooling, and water heating.
According to the first chart the greatest consumption of household energy was used for water heating and heating and cooling about nearly half of the total percentage. Whereas, household used approximately 20% of their energy on refrigeration and lighting. Moreover, the least among four are used for cooking and stand by and the remaining 24% is spent on other appliances.
The second chart illustrates there is a marked difference between the greenhouse gas produced in heating and cooling and other items. However, heating and cooling produced around two-fifths more than any other items. While water heating produced about 25% and second highest of the items were resulted by refrigeration, lighting, cooking and, standby below 10%, and the rest is 16% was spent on other appliances.
