Overall, it is evident that residents who speak English as their mother tongue had the highest employment ratio. In contrast, those who were non-proficient in English had the lowest employment ratios. In terms of occupations, individuals who were non-proficient in English occupied the highest share among various job categories.
At first glance, English speakers had the highest employment rates for both genders, with 75.5% for males and 68.3% for females. Those who were proficient in English had nearly three-quarters of men employed and almost 60% of women. Conversely, individuals who were not proficient in English had the lowest employment rates, with 68% for men and nearly half of the employment rate for English speakers among women.
Regarding occupations, non-proficient English speakers recorded the highest employment rates in elementary positions at 38.2% and 21.1% in skilled trades. In contrast, those who spoke English as their main language accounted for 17.7% in professional roles and 13.2% in technical departments. Additionally, proficient English speakers comprised 19.2% in elementary positions.
