The line graph provides information about the number of employees in the agricultural department in a few African countries, ranging from 1985 to 2019.
Overall, there is a slight increase in all four countries from 1985 to 1995. However, in the years after 1995, the line plummeted notably, showing a decrease in employment in African countries.
Nigeria’s employment rocketed dramatically, reaching 45 employees in 2000. Meanwhile, Kenya and South Africa had also jumped from approximately 25-27 employees to above 30 workers for both countries, in 1995. Additionally, Algeria’s employees rose slower, growing from 20 workers to about 23 workers in 1990.
On the contrary, there is a noticable downward trend in Nigera’s workers, decreasing significantly from 45 people in the year 2000 to around 33 people in 2010, and gradually dropping to only 25 individuals in 2019. Similarily, after 1995, Kenya’s employment declined to around 30 people, before slowly stabilising at 25 workers. Whereas, Alegeria’s number of employees fluctuated for 5 years, and reduced moderately to just about 13 individuals in 2019.
Therefore, the most significant drop was shown in Nigeria’s employment, while the other countries showcased a more minimal shrink.
