Overall, all the nations except Germany saw an upward trend, with Germany being the only one to decline a little and fluctuating as well. Interestingly, in the beginning Italy had more than double unemployed young people compared to Britain, but in 2006 and 2009 Britain managed to surpass Italy.

At the beginning of the period, in 2000, almost 30% were unemployed youth in Italy, which was the highest point in the start. Then in 2006 it leveled off at just about 20%, fluctuating until 2008. Then finishing at around 35%, which is the peak in the entire period. As regards Britain and France, Britain started at roughly 10%, while France was around 20%. In the following two years they were both at almost 20%. After that both of them saw a fluctuation until 2008, before peaking at 2009 at around 25%, ending at 23%.
