The graph illustrates the amount number of consuming spreads (Margarine, low-fat & reduced spreads, and butter) between the 1981 and 2007.
Overall, it can be seen that the butter peaked in the second year over the given period while low fat & reduced spreads got the highest in the fifth year. That is opposed to Margarine which had fluctuated consuming over the years given.
The butter consumption rose steadily in 1986 to reach around 160 grams. From this point, it had a significant decrease to achieve its lowest consume of grams in 2007. However, a similar consuming number of grams between butter and low-fat& reduced spreads in 1991, they got exactly 100 grams.
In terms of low fat and reduced spreads, which faced a huge growth from 1996 to had around 10 grams till it peaked at around 80 grams in 2001. But it faced a steady falling in 2007 to had approximately 60 grams. All spreads reach a significant change except Margarine spread which kept fluctuated and even plateaued from 1991 to 1996.
