Overall, it is clear that car was the most popular type of transport for the most part of the period, while bus had dramatical decrease in popularity making it the least preferred type of transport. Rail and other modes had minor fluctuations and had almost identical figures by the end of the period.
Looking into details, in 1985 the most used means of transport was bus at around 60%. Then in dramatically declined in terms of preference hitting a low of 20%, after which it did not recover. Car, on the other hand, started at around 20% in 1985, followed by a significant boom at well over 80% in 2000, making it the most preferred way of travelling ever. However, afterwards it declined to around 70% with minor fluctuation, despite which it was still the top choice of travelers.
Rail and other types of transport commenced with 20% and 10% respectively. Then they had minor oscillations, which by the end of given timeframe did not change substantially.
