Overall, while the proportion of travel by car rose dramatically, the proportion of bus travelling saw a significant decrease and peaked at around 82%. However, there was a steady oscillation in the figure for rail and others.
In 1985, the greatest percentage of travel by car was 30% and it witnessed a noticeable rise to approximately 85% until the lately 2000s, but there was a slight fluctuate until the end of 2015. However, the figure for bus travel was about 55%, it undergone a considerable drop to nearly 10% until 2000, after which, an insignificant fluctuate is observed in the travelling by bus until 2015. When it comes to rail travel and other transportations less commonly used between 1985 and 2015, the figure for rail travel was 20% and others whereas the others was nearly 10%, and a negligible oscillate is observed in the proportion of rail and other transports.
